1.In short
We only use cookies that the Service needs to work and to stay secure: to keep you signed in, to remember a cart before you sign in, and to protect the site from automated abuse. We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt in to.
This policy applies to sawadoc.com and the Patient Portal at portal.sawadoc.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2.What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your browser on the next visit or request. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way and are covered by this policy too.
3.The cookies we use
Signing in (set by SawaDoc):
- sd_session: proves you are signed in, shared by sawadoc.com and the Patient Portal. Lasts 15 minutes and is renewed while you use the Service.
- sd_refresh: keeps you signed in between visits by renewing sd_session. Only sent to our sign-in service. Lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
Shopping (set by SawaDoc):
- sd_cart: remembers the cart of a visitor who hasn’t signed in yet. Lasts 30 days; it is merged into your account cart when you sign in and then removed.
Security (set by Cloudflare, which protects sawadoc.com):
- __cf_bm: helps tell people from automated traffic. Lasts 30 minutes.
- cf_clearance: set only if you complete a security check, so you aren’t asked again. Lasts up to a few hours.
- The security check on the sign-in form (Cloudflare Turnstile) does not set tracking cookies; it confirms a real person is asking for a sign-in code.
All of these are marked secure and, except Cloudflare’s, cannot be read by scripts in your browser.
4.Local storage
We store a few small settings in your browser’s local storage, for example that you have closed the cookie notice. They never leave your device and contain no personal information.
5.Your choices
Because these cookies are essential, they can’t be switched off on the Service. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but you will then be signed out, a guest cart will be lost and you may not be able to sign in.
If we ever want to use cookies that aren’t essential, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
